To submit an abstract register on the official registration page (Penta) and create a profile through which you can submit your abstract.
The application deadline is Tuesday (9 May, 2023.) till midnight!
Guidelines for abstract submission
1. Authors must choose one of topics below for every abstract they wish to submit. If an abstract fits into more than one topic, choose the most appropriate one: Topic 1: IBD, Topic 2: Hepatology, Topic 3: Endoscopy, Topic 4: Pancreatology and biliary tract, Topic 5: Functional disorders of GI tract, Topic 6: Oncology, Topic 7: Nutrition
2. The abstract title should clearly indicate the nature of the investigation, should be brief and in lower case except for acronyms, names, first letters. Please do not use commercial names, non-standard abbreviations or author names in the title.
3. Abstracts should be structured in the following four sections:
Background (indicates the purpose of the study)
Methods (describe pertinent experimental procedures)
Results (summarise the results of the research)
Conclusion (states the main conclusions).
4. Maximum length of 350 words (excl. title and author block).
5. Indicate minimum 2, maximum 3 keywords which best correspond to the content of your abstract.
6. Abstracts must be submitted and presented in English. Abbreviations may be used in the text if they are defined at first usage. Compounds should be mentioned with the generic name, in lower cases.
7. The abstract contains research that is original and has not been previously published nor has been submitted to, presented at any other scientific meeting taking place before ECYG 2023.
8. Abstracts may be submitted online on the ECYG website until the deadline of April 1, 2023.
9. Authors are requested to conform to guidelines for submission of abstracts. Abstracts not conforming to the guidelines will not be referred for review.
10. The submitting author of an abstract is requested to declare any potential conflict of interest for all authors during the abstract submission. Moreover, the authors’ names (full first names, family names) and affiliation (places of work/institution, city, country) must be provided.
11. Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors, as it will be reproduced exactly as submitted.
12. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be mailed to the submitter at the e-mail address supplied on the submission form on April 10, 2023.
13. Accepted abstracts will be published online on the ECYG website. ECYG requires an exclusive licence to publish the accepted abstract, which you need to grant on behalf of all authors of the abstract as part of your submission of an abstract for ECYG.
14. Detailed information, guidelines and recommendations for oral presentation, as well as time allotment, date, hour and venue, will be sent closer to the congress date to presenting authors whose abstracts are accepted at the meeting.
